Our client, one of Melbourne’s most highly regarded grammar schools, is seeking an experienced end-to-end Payroll Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis. In this role you will be responsible for processing fortnightly and monthly payroll (300 employees) including payroll reconciliations, reporting, governance and compliance related tasks.
  
Must haves:
  • Experience in end-to-end payroll processing, administration and reporting
  • Experience in preparing and submitting payroll-related tax lodgements, superannuation contributions, work cover payments and other statutory obligations.
  • Solid Excel skills with the ability to generate periodic spreadsheets and ad-hoc reporting
  • Adaptable and tech savvy
  • An excellent eye for detail, a methodical approach and the ability to focus on the task at hand
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great communication skills and able to work in a team environment
  • Current Police Check and WWCC or be willing to obtain
Highly Regarded (but not essential):
  • Experience working within the education sector
  • Proficiency using Aurion or the ability to pick up new payroll software with ease
