This Finance Manager position is based at a fantastic South Melbourne Office. It is reporting directly to the Director & Operations Manager & plays a pivotal role in supporting daily finance operations and corporate decision making. This includes conducting thorough cash flow modelling and budgeting, maintaining the general ledger system, and leading the preparation of financial statements. The role extends to budget preparation, updated forecasts across the business, regulatory reporting, and weekly payroll responsibilities, while collaborating with the administration team.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all finance-related inquiries, internally & externally
- On-going cashflow analysis and budgeting for several entities is crucial
- Maintaining adequate working capital for future obligations
- Variance reports tracking budget against quoted Vs forecast Vs actual and for each project
- Assist the Director & Operations manager in overseeing finance systems, demonstrating proficiency in Xero and Excel
- Reconciling and raising monthly claims for the projects
- Execute company payroll functions
- Complete all statutory reporting and lodgements
- Job costing – Labour and Overheads
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5+ years' experience in the sector.
