In this hands on, autonomous role, you will take full ownership of payroll and support a range of HR functions for a workforce of 50+ across Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end monthly payroll for ~50 staff across AU (QLD, NSW, VIC, WA) and NZ
- Manage payroll compliance PAYG, superannuation, Work Cover, payroll tax, and journal uploads
- Process terminations, redundancies, and leave provisions (including manual LSL calculations)
- Maintain HRIS (ADP Payforce), ensuring accurate data across payroll and HR records
- Support HR functions including onboarding, contract preparation, probation tracking, and personnel file management
- Coordinate Work Cover claims, update relevant authorities and contact details
- Collaborate with Finance for reporting, salary sacrifice breakdowns, and year-end payroll rollovers
- Ensure compliance with relevant AU/NZ legislation, privacy laws, and internal policies
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll, including NZ exposure
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce/Payforce; Workday experience highly regarded
- Strong understanding of taxation, payroll tax, super, Work Cover, and EBA/Award interpretation
- HR administration experience and comfort supporting generalist HR tasks
- High attention to detail, with the confidence to work independently and proactively
- A personable and adaptable approach, able to navigate occasional internal complexities
- Health and safety understanding is a bonus
- Part-time with flexibility 2 days per week + more during pay week
