Join our disability client in a key operational role ensuring the smooth running of our facilities and vehicle fleet while our Facilities Manager is on leave.
You will be reporting to the General Manager, Special Projects, this temporary role will oversee the maintenance, safety, and functionality of multiple client sites and our vehicle fleet. You will play a critical part in keeping our environments safe, compliant, and responsive to the needs of people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage facilities requests and maintenance via monday.com
- Coordinate reactive and preventative maintenance
- Supervise contractors, minor works, and upgrades across sites
- Ensure contractor inductions and compliance via LinkSafe
- Oversee the operation and safety of the organisation’s vehicle fleet
- Maintain site security and access controls
- Communicate with internal stakeholders on works and service disruptions
- Ensure facilities meet accessibility and safety standards
- Relevant trade or technical qualifications in Facilities Management or related field
- 5+ years of experience, ideally within the disability or community services sector
- Strong contractor and budget management experience
- Working knowledge of Australian Building Standards and OHS legislation
- Experience with tools such as monday.com and LinkSafe
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills
- NDIS, PC and WWC Checks required
- Able to travel to other sites in Broadmeadows, Vermont and Nunawading
- Able to work both independently and within a collaborative team
- Calm under pressure and solutions-focused
- Flexible and available to manage after-hours emergencies, if needed
- Strong communicator with a focus on compliance and service delivery
