Come and join a company at the forefront of the construction industry, dedicated to excellence and innovation in every project they undertake. We are currently seeking a seasoned Commercial Manager to lead the commercial aspects of some large-scale iconic projects across Melbourne.

You will be responsible for overseeing all commercial and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring efficient progression from inception to completion.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Financial Oversight - Manage budgets, oversee cost reporting, and ensure robust cash flow projections, maintaining financial health throughout project lifecycles.
  • Risk Management - Identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risks.
  • Leadership and Collaboration - Working closely with Project Managers and other team members to meet project objectives while adhering to contractual obligations.
  • Represent the company in negotiations and meetings with clients, suppliers, the main contractor and subcontractors, establishing favourable terms and maintaining strong partnerships.
  • Compliance and Documentation - Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and maintaining accurate records will be essential, along with implementing effective commercial systems.
  • Strategic Contributions - You will be involved in tender submissions, key stakeholder and subcontractor relationships, and contribute to the company's commercial strategies.

The ideal candidate:
  • Will have extensive experience in commercial management within the construction industry, with a particular focus on hotel or office tower projects.
  • Must exhibit a strong acumen in financial management, risk assessment, and contract negotiations and management.
  • Should demonstrate leadership capabilities, be able to lead and integrate within teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Needs to have excellent communication skills for effective interactions with Tier 1 & 2 stakeholders, clients, subcontractors, and team members.
