Key responsibilities:
- Responding to client enquiries and liaise with suppliers regarding quotations, price confirmations, bookings, freight tracking, monitoring and service related and other relevant issues as required
- Ensuring all pickups and client queries are logged with detailed notes
- Tracking and monitoring freight, corresponding with suppliers and advising clients with relevant updates
- Providing a high level of quality customer service
- Establishing, developing and maintain where necessary client and supplier files
- Providing administrative support services as required
- Ensuring that all work undertaken by the position is carried out in a healthy and safe manner and that any unsafe aspects of the workplace are immediately rectified and/or reported to your supervisor
- Supporting continuous improvement through business excellence and embrace company values
- Extensive experience in customer service and administration
- Experience within the transport/logistics industry or in a role where you have been communicating with transport companies
- Experience in deriving basic inquiry information from computer systems
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Well-developed communication skills (both verbal and written)
- A demonstrated intermediate level of skills using the Microsoft Office suite of computer programs
