This is an autonomous role reporting directly to the Division Manager, with a strong focus on business development while maintaining and servicing existing customers.
About the Role As a Technical Sales Representative, you will:
- Build strong, long-term relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Provide exceptional service by understanding customer needs and offering tailored solutions that add value.
- Actively identify, pursue, and partner with new customers to expand market presence.
- Prepare and negotiate tender documentation, contracts, and proposals.
- Leverage Salesforce to manage pipeline activity and customer information.
- Support customers with technical knowledge, food safety audits, and compliance with industry standards.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within the industrial chemical, food, or related industries.
- Strong technical knowledge with a hands-on approach in the field.
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to understand and meet customer needs.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Experience in preparing and negotiating tender documents.
- Solid knowledge of food safety requirements, including FSANZ standards and cleanout audits.
- Background in food manufacturing, quality assurance, agriculture, or engineering.
- The ability to manage priorities, work autonomously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
