The Opportunity
The Assistant Accountant reporting to the CFO will be a detail-oriented Payroll & Accounts professional. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, as well as supporting global accounts receivable functions. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance, supporting the finance team, and delivering excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll, including superannuation, payroll tax, and group tax payments
- Maintain payroll systems with all employee changes
- Prepare and post monthly payroll journals and cost centre allocations
- Oversee Accounts Receivable for overseas customers, including daily receipting
- Set up new customer accounts and perform credit checks
- Provide ad-hoc assistance to the Financial Controller

- Experience in payroll systems and accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, strong problem-solving and basic troubleshooting skills
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills
