Senior Tax Accountant Manager

An exceptional opportunity is on offer to join this well-established, fast growing innovative accounting firm based in the Eastern Suburbs. We are seeking a senior accountant with a well-rounded business services and tax background from either a Chartered or CPA practice. Offering an amazing culture, this highly respected practice services a broad range of clients from high net worth individuals to corporates, and provides the full suite of accounting, taxation, business advisory services, together with lending, payroll, and bookkeeping.

Your role will include

  • Preparation of individual and company tax returns
  • Creation of financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, and income statements
  • ATO audit assistance
  • Preparation of month end and year end accounts and financials
  • Preparation of FBT returns, management reports, year-end audits & projects
  • Conducting reviews with clients and preparation of their returns
  • Preparation of quarterly and monthly BAS and IAS
  • Preparation of financial accounts and tax returns for company structures, associated individuals, trust, partnerships
  • Review of company's GST compliance and complete BAS returns
  • Providing accountant and tax advice and solutions to clients
  • Support & training of junior staff

Skills and experience sought

  • You will have completed your CA/CPA qualification and have a minimum 5 years + experience
  • Advanced Xero skills, Xero practice and related add-ons
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and troubleshooting
  • Technically strong with the confidence to voice recommendations, explain tax concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional attention to detail a must
  • Shows initiative and interest in the success of the client's business
  • Ability in providing advice and solutions to medium to large clients
  • You will also be confident in supervising a small team and assist in mentoring graduates and developing others within the team
  • You will ideally bring a personality and passion with you and be a contributor across the business and be some who can add positively to the culture
