Our client, a not-for-profit organisation based in Melbourne's CBD, is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer for a 3 month contract with likely extension. Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, this position is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and processing of payroll for all staff and associated entities.

Key responsibilities:
  • Accurate and timely preparation, entry and transmission of the fortnightly payroll data
  • Accountable for ensuring the accuracy of staff leave entitlements
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of relevant Awards, and legislative requirements
  • Accurate maintenance of pay records, employee’s records, leave records and related information
  • Assisting is the setup of new employee records
  • When requested by the Payroll Supervisor run associated payroll reports
You will ideally have:
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
  • SCHADS award experience is ideal but not essential
  • Proven experience interpreting relevant Awards, Enterprise Agreements and legislative requirements 
  • Experience working with Technology One or Kronos preferred
