With a strong values-based culture and deep commitment to person-centred care, they are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead one of their established residential aged care homes.
This is a critical leadership role for someone who is passionate about driving excellence in care, strengthening clinical governance, and fostering a positive, engaged workplace culture.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the General Manager – Residential Aged Care is responsible for overall facility performance, including operational leadership, clinical oversight, resident wellbeing, financial sustainability and staff development.
You will shape a culture of quality, safety and compassion while ensuring the organisation continues to meet regulatory requirements and deliver exceptional resident outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall operations of the residential aged care facility to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
- Maintain full compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, legislative requirements and organisational policies.
- Oversee the delivery of safe, high-quality clinical care and strengthen clinical governance and risk management.
- Lead, motivate and develop staff, ensuring effective workforce planning, rosters, performance and WHS compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement through accreditation preparation, audits, incident reviews and quality initiatives.
- Manage AN-ACC processes, including documentation, submissions and achievement of KPI targets.
- Oversee financial performance, budgets and resources, and proactively manage occupancy and revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, staff, volunteers, regulators and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategic planning and represent the service in executive and committee forums.
About You
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Extensive leadership experience within residential aged care, including facility-level management.
- Strong understanding of AN-ACC, accreditation processes, quality systems and aged care compliance.
- Proven ability to deliver operational, clinical, financial and people leadership outcomes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution and change management skills.
- Highly organised, accountable and committed to excellence in aged care.
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and other required immunisations.
