As the Financial Accountant, you will be reporting directly to the Director and play a pivotal role in supporting daily finance operations and decision making. This includes conducting thorough cash flow modelling and budgeting, maintaining the general ledger system, and leading the preparation of financial statements. The role extends to budget preparation, updated forecasts across the business, regulatory reporting, and weekly payroll responsibilities, while collaborating with the administration team.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all finance-related inquiries
- On-going cashflow analysis and budgeting for several entities is crucial
- Maintaining adequate working capital for future obligations
- Variance reports tracking budget against quoted Vs forecast Vs actual
- Assist the Director in overseeing finance systems, Xero and Excel
- Raising monthly claims for projects
- Execute company payroll functions
- Complete all statutory reporting and lodgements
- Job costing – labour and overheads
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5+ years' experience in the sector. Interpersonally, the ideal candidate is vibrant, confident, and capable of building strong professional relationships throughout the organization & externally.
