About the Role:
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO provides strategic and operational leadership to deliver our Clients' mission and vision.
You will lead a small, dedicated team and work with a passionate Board to strengthen partnerships, enhance organisational sustainability, and elevate our Client's national and global profile.
Key responsibilities include:
- Championing the organisation’s mission and executing the strategic plan
- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across research, clinical, and community sectors
- Leading organisational growth, fundraising, and revenue diversification
- Overseeing governance, risk, compliance, and financial management
- Managing and inspiring a talented team of part-time staff
- Representing our Client at conferences, events, and within the specific community
You are a strategic, values-driven leader who thrives in purpose-led environments. You have the vision to drive growth and the empathy to lead with authenticity.
You will bring:
- Proven experience as a CEO, COO, or GM in the NFP, health, or disability sectors
- Strong understanding of ACNC governance and NFP compliance
- Financial, strategic, and operational leadership skills
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
- Demonstrated success in partnership development and fundraising
- A collaborative, inclusive, and resilient leadership style
- Familiarity with the medical research or disability sector
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, and funders
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, health, or related fields
