The Bookkeeper/Payroll Officer will be responsible for managing payroll, including superannuation and related requirements, using Access MicrOpay software. The role also involves supporting the team by handling disbursements and other daily entries as required. This organisation requires this candidate to take ownership of the Payroll process and to develop / streamline the position.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process payroll using Access MicrOpay software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Process fortnightly payroll for 100 employees.
- Some finance related tasks, AP, AR, Queries, reconciliations.
- Reporting into the Finance and HR Manager.
- Payroll queries and manual calculations.
- Manage superannuation and other payroll-related requirements.
- Support the team by handling disbursements and daily entries in MYOB and our office costing software, APS.
- Collaborate with external contractors, if necessary, for payroll coverage.
- Ability to work one day per week from home after the 6-month trial period.
- Process and manage payroll using Access MicrOpay software.
- Ensure compliance with superannuation and payroll regulations.
- Input and manage disbursements in MYOB and office costing software, APS.
- Prepare for and cover designated tasks in the absence of the supervisor.
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in an accounting or legal office.
- Extensive experience with payroll processing, preferably using Access MicrOpay software.
- Proficiency in MYOB and office costing software, APS.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
