Our client is a global leader, importing a range of specialist products from across the globe. This position is a primary point of contact with customers and suppliers, servicing them with prompt, efficient and accurate accounts information and processing. Additional responsibilities include interfacing with sales, marketing, regional hubs, freight forwarders and various internal departments.
Reporting directly to the Australian and New Zealand based Finance Managers, you will be responsible for monitoring the company's Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
Duties will include:
- Reconciling bank accounts daily, including clearing of receipts and payments
- Monitoring AP including verifying and posting invoices, processing payments, and reconciling supplier statements
- Assisting with the AR function, including following up of overdue accounts
- Resolving AP and AR queries, following up internally as required
- Assisting with other ad-hoc accounts related tasks and reports
- Other administrative tasks as needed
Ideally you will bring:
- A Diploma in accounting or similar commerce related discipline
- Several years' experience in a similar role
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow up
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and ERP knowledge & experience
- Able to work with various internal and external stakeholders
You will bring demonstrated and relevant experience at a Bookkeeping or Accounts Clerk level, ideally with some exposure in an import / supply chain driven organisation. You will have a proven ability to proactively resolve issues & problems, multi-task, & work under pressure at times. This position is available for immediate commencement on a permanent basis.
