Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end bookkeeping and financial record management
- Bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Payroll processing (including superannuation and fortnightly PAYG)
- Leave processing and HR administration support
- Accounts Payable – invoice processing, allocations and payment runs
- Accounts Receivable – debtor management and phone-based collections
- Cash flow monitoring and reporting
- Preparation of management reports from Xero
- Liaising with external accountants (BAS, tax and monthly reporting)
- Processing receipts, expense claims and subscriptions
- Managing annual insurance, rent and software renewals
- Maintaining the office inbox and handling finance-related phone enquiries
- Extracting financial data from project management systems
- Regular communication with management and account managers
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience being solely responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping within an SME
- Xero Certification (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Experience with Dext (highly regarded)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently
- Strong communication skills and confidence in liaising with stakeholders
