The Role:

Due to continued growth and expansion of their client base an exceptional opportunity is on offer for an experienced Audit Manager or Supervisor to join this long established and highly respected Accounting firm based on the fringe of the city.

This leadership role will provide management over an existing portfolio of clients and will deliver audit and assurance services including preparing and reviewing audit plans and associated work as well as overseeing the audits and a high performing team.

Core responsibilities:
  • Review staff files for correctness, completeness and any issues
  • Planning of audits and workforce planning
  • Investigating technical issues as and when they arise
  • Produce reports highlighting any issues and providing potential solutions
  • Supervise, coach and develop staff
  • Provide assistance and mentoring to staff as required especially junior staff
  • Manage and oversee work and deadlines to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Update the Audit Partner with any concerns, issues with timelines, issues with staff as they occur
  • Fee budgets – assist partner with budgets and maintaining budgets when jobs are in
  • New client management – assist partner in meetings with potential clients, initial budgets and work plans and onboarding of new clients
  • Client relationships – work with partner in establishing and maintaining positive client relationships

To be successful in this role you will possess:
  • CA/CPA qualifications and a relevant degree
  • 3- 5+ years experience leading an External Audit Team
  • A collaborative and supportive leadership style and an ability to develop staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive and continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience using APS XPA software, MYOB Tax and HowNow would be an advantage however full training can be provided
