An exciting opportunity is on offer for an experienced HRM with a strong generalist and business partnering background to join a fantastic team based in the Bayside suburbs of Melbourne. Proven experience in the manufacturing or constuction sector sought and an ability to grow and develop a great team culture, design and implementation recruitment and performance management frameworks and be part of a change process.

Reporting to the Group Director you will oversee the day to day strategic and operational objectives on all aspects of the people and culture function for the business. You will be a trusted business partner, providing end to end operational HR advice to business leaders, building positive and supportive relationships with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and leading the transformation strategy focussing on key priorities including integration, change management activities, cultural alignment, building talent pipeline, succession and employee retention
  • Providing advice and coaching to management on complex employee relations matters, performance management, industrial relations/EBA negotiations, investigations and terminations
  • Managing and co-ordinating HR cyclical activities including talent, performance and development, employee engagement surveys, salary reviews and bonus programs.
  • Managing and maintaining the HRIS for end-to-end employee lifecycle activities and supporting documentation
  • Implementing objective of the strategic plan and working on projects
  • Some travel may be required as necessary

What you bring:

  • Strong HR generalist and business partnering background
  • Proven ability to draw out and make informed decisions using current data
  • Working knowledge of SAP Success Factors and the Microsoft Suite highly regarded
  • Ability to balance between operational and strategic delivery
  • Working knowledge of local employment laws and regulations, and industrial relations
  • Degree qualified in Human Resource Management, Business or similar discipline
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, construction or a related industry ideally sought
