- Part-time, 24 hours per week (3 x 8.5-hour days, excluding lunch break).
- Typical hours: start between 7:00 am–8:00 am, finish between 3:30 pm–4:30 pm.
- Bachelor of Health Information Management (or equivalent).
- Eligibility for HIMAA membership.
- Grade 3: 7+ years’ experience as a senior coder, coding auditor/educator, or previous CDI experience.
- Grade 2: 5+ years’ coding experience.
- Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS.
- Strong background in tertiary hospital coding, casemix/DRG.
- EMR (Cerner) and iPM experience.
- Skilled at identifying documentation gaps, generating queries, and providing clinician education.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with strong analytical/problem-solving ability.
A senior coder or HIM ready to step into a clinician-facing role, with experience in coding audits, education, or CDI. A tertiary hospital background is preferred; prior CDI exposure is highly regarded.
