The Opportunity
The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth across large-format print, signage, and installation services. Reporting to the managing director, this role is responsible for transitioning existing client relationships, generating new business opportunities, and managing the full sales cycle from initial contact through to contract close. This position suits a commercially driven sales professional with strong industry knowledge and an established client network.
Key Responsibilities
Introduce and transition existing client relationships into the business
Actively generate new sales opportunities within large format print, signage, and installation services
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation, quoting, negotiation, and contract close
Achieve and exceed agreed revenue and margin targets
Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell across print, installation, and value-added services
Build and maintain long-term, trusted client relationships
Act as the primary point of contact for allocated client accounts
Collaborate closely with estimating, production, and installation teams to ensure seamless delivery
Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting
Represent the business at client meetings, industry events, and networking functions
About You
Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or Senior Sales Executive within large format print, signage, or a related industry
An existing and active client base that can be introduced to the business
Strong understanding of large format print processes, substrates, finishes, and installation
Demonstrated ability to consistently generate new business and close deals
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Strong commercial acumen with a focus on margin and profitability
Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
