Management Accountant /Business Analyst
We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant Business Analyst to join a young and energetic environment, where you can utilise your skillsets and passion to add great value in a result oriented, fast-growing, online e-commerce business.
The role encompasses analysing the online retail sales data, generating online sales reports, monthly and yearly analysis of cost of goods sold and operational expenses against budgets, analysing trends in customer purchases, and evaluating changes in their online retail marketplace. You will work in collaboration with IT inhouse developers to add value to continuous improvement processes for potential operational changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and analysis of weekly management reports, including presentation and reporting to Senior Management
- Working closely with General Manager to inform on business performance on a regular basis
- Preparation and analysis of monthly management reports and providing commentary on budgeted vs actual performance
- Preparation of annual and semi-annual budgets and appropriate forecasts
- Responsible for month and year end accounting and reporting processes for e-commerce and trading business units
- Assist with unit cost analysis and profitability of individual products
- Identification of opportunities for contribution and process improvement
- Partner with Product Management and Purchasing Team in determining financial impact due to product cost reductions, new product roll out, etc. and prepare periodic forecasts to update management on projected results

- Informed on accounting standards and policies
Professional Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor of Accounting
- CA/CPA qualified or working toward completion
- Demonstrated experience with stakeholder management and effective communication
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Possess strong analytical & numerical skills, with attention to detail
- Highly organized and ability to prioritize tasks in a logical manner
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel Modelling, Word and PowerPoint) Adept in using cloud accounting software such as Reckon, Xero and Neto
- Experience with overseeing Financial Accounting requirements
