Come and work for a highly respected global manufacturer in the Moorabbin area and put your strong estimation and leadership skills to the test. Reporting the National Sales & Marketing Director, you will be responsible for driving the estimating division to ensure continuation of opportunities, and maximising sales potential through leadership, performance management and coaching.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing a team of Estimators.
  • Ensuring sales of the company's products and services meet and exceed agreed sales targets, by perpetually finding new and unique ways to engage and increase market share and opportunities.
  • Creating and implementing strategic planning in regard to pricing policies.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships - proactively pursuing new business and sales opportunities.
  • Ensuring tenders are submitted within specified time frames and liaising with project administration team to ensure smooth hand over of successful tenders.
  • Ensuring tender quotations are followed up in a timely manner and negotiations are performed within pricing policies.
  • Looking for continuous improvement within the estimating team and implementing changes where required.
  • Providing information and advice regarding product development opportunities to increase sales and market share.
  • Developing sales reports regarding the sales performance of the business to present to management when required.

Skills and core requirements:

  • Proven sales and estimation experience in manufacturing or the commercial building industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts, architectural drawings and schedules.
  • Understanding pricing and margin requirements.
  • Substantial level of skill in the administration and management of construction projects.
  • Ability to communicate satisfactorily with management, clients, specifiers and subcontractors.
