An exciting opportunity has become available to work with one of our clients who are well established across a portfolio of brands and distribute their products across the country. Located in Melbourne's Southeast, they are currently seeking an ambitious Credit & Collections Officer to manage and maintain a ledger of accounts for one of their best-known portfolios of products. The ideal candidate will have great interpersonal skills and the ability to hit the ground running in this ongoing temporary assignment, with the possibility for permanency. There is some flexibility in the role with working in the office and working remotely.

Reporting to the team leader, your role will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Managing the debtors ledger
  • Running all accounts receivable functions, end to end
  • Following up on payments and posting allocations
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Daily banking
  • Calling clients and answering their queries
  • File and database management
  • Managing and updating documentation
  • Administrative duties and other ad-hoc duties

To be considered for the role, you will need to have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a commercial credit role
  • Minimum intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SAP Financial Modules (or similar ERP) preferred
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Proven skills in conflict resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Tertiary qualification preferred but not essential
