Our client is a global leader and imports a range of specialist products from various plants across the globe. This position is a primary point-of-contact with customers and suppliers to maximize customer service efforts through prompt, efficient and accurate accounts information and processing. Your other responsibilities include executing liaison actions and interfacing with sales, marketing, customers, plants, regional hubs, transportation agencies, freight forwarders and various internal departments, supporting sales/ marketing, customer service and the supply chain group.

Reporting directly to the Finance Managers based in Australia and New Zealand, you will be responsible for day to day monitoring of the company's Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

Tasks:

  • Reconcile bank accounts on a daily basis including clearing of receipts and payments
  • Monitor Accounts Payable including verifying and posting of invoices, processing and clearing payments, and reconciling supplier/vendor statements
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable function, including following up of overdue accounts
  • Resolve accounts payable and accounts receivable queries
  • Assist in other ad hoc accounts related tasks as required
  • Other administrative tasks as directed

Skills and experience:

  • Diploma in accounting or commerce related discipline
  • Several years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Able to work with various internal and external stakeholders

Ideally you will bring several years of relevant experience in customer service/order fulfillment with a strong background from an import / supply chain management perspective. You will have strong verbal & written communication skills and excellent ERP software skills. A proven ability in pro-actively resolving issues & problems and ability to lead and work in a multi-cultural team environment as well as multi-task, work under pressure and enjoy a challenging role.
